Payday loan provider Wonga need to pay Р’Р€2.6m in compensation after delivering letters from non-existent law offices to clients in arrears.
The letters threatened appropriate action, nevertheless the law offices had been false. In a few instances Wonga included costs for those letters to clients’ records.
The town watchdog, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), stated 45,000 clients could be paid.
